Professional Service

What should have been a relatively straightforward transaction encountered numerous 'roadblocks' en route to completion. David Simpson kept us informed of progress at all times and responded promptly to our queries/concerns following up with other parties as necessary in order to conclude the sale.

We have recently bought our home through Shepherds, we were scheduled for our viewing at the earliest opportunity for us which happened to be a Sunday when most other agents were closed. We offered on the Monday and although we were in competition with another party, we felt that it was a transparent and fair negotiation to secure our purchase. David was our main point of contact, who was a straightforward person to deal with and great throughout at keeping the pressure on our solicitors and the rest of the chain to get us to the end. The rest of the team were equally pleasant to deal with and would certainly recommend Shepherds based on our experience.

Excellent Service From Shepherds

My Brother and I used Shepherds to sell the family house in 2024. We had first used Shepherds in 1978 and were keen to work with them again based on their transparent, patient and customer focused approach to business rather than the more aggressive approach offered by some of their competitors.
Right from day one we felt well informed about the whole process and well advised as to what the best options would be whilst maintaining the freedom to make decisions ourselves. Their rates were very competitive and their knowledge of how the market was reacting was excellent. Shepherds understood our needs and kept these needs a priority throughout. Communication was excellent and at the right level required.
Shepherds took the stress out of the whole process for us and we appreciated their sensitive and unpressured approach to us in selling the family house of over 45 years.
We were very satisfied with the final outcome of the sale and everything took place on time as planned thanks to the support from Shepherds.
I would highly recommend their professional and customer focused service and they remain my first choice for house selling in Hertford.

Excellent communication

This is the second time we have dealt with Shepherds since moving locally, and both times, they have been professional and friendly. Any query or comment was dealt with swiftly and efficiently and David and his team ensured they were in close communication with all parties within the chain. Not always an easy task, but ultimately it made everything so much smoother. They have excellent knowledge of the local area and were exceptionally responsive via phone or email. We’d highly recommend using Shepherds!
