Making a difference...

Rachel Lapworth of Bedfords was outstanding managing a tight timeline. She was communicative, proactive and highly professional, liaising closely with the sellers and all parties, to ensure everyone was aligned and working towards an agreed tight completion date, that was achieved before Christmas! Rachel really made a difference in making this happen.

Rachel’s knowledge of the local market and ability to deal with any tricky situation gave us a lot of confidence. Her calm and considered approach, in particular, made what can often be a stressful process feel easy and reassuring from start to finish.

Outstanding Letting Experience with Bedfords

I had a 12-month letting agreement with Bedford’s when I moved to Bury St Edmunds in November of 2024. Sam was who we worked with and she was extremely professional and helpful as we looked at properties. Throughout the year after finding a home, Sam was quick to respond if we had any questions or problems. As we came to the end of our letting agreement and found a home to purchase, again Sam and her team were exceptional during the move out process and even answering some questions we had on purchasing. I’ve heard some horror stories of other letting agencies, and am thankful that we found such a great, caring and understanding team with Bedfords. I would highly recommend their team if you are looking for a home to let or purchase. You will be in good hands!

Very sensible valuation of the market for probate and sale, and good advice and assistance from Emmerson Dutton when two initial buyers in turn dropped out

Exceptional professionalism

Given that I’m not someone who often writes reviews, it may not seem like it should matter a great deal — but in this case, it absolutely does.

In over 30 years in the property industry, I’ve rarely had to draw on such a deep reserve of estate-agency calm and experience as I did during this transaction. What we had to endure from the buyer’s solicitor was, frankly, extraordinary. For a thoroughly charming purchaser living in rented accommodation, the process still managed to drag on for almost six months.

Throughout it all, Oliver was exceptional. He went out of his way to keep me informed, kept a calm and steady hand on the tiller, and did everything within his power to help get this sale over the line. For that, I’m genuinely grateful.

And if, in some small way, he’s picked up a few extra tricks from navigating this saga, then perhaps it will at least have served some purpose.

Helpful and professional service.

All the staff at Bedfords were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. They produced an excellent sales brochure and provided support throughout the process. I was very happy with the service I received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Great communication

My buying process with Bedfords was faultless. From viewing to completion, the process took only 8 weeks and the communication throughout was excellent. I am impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff I met and would certainly class Bedfords as the best estate agents I have dealt with in recent years.

Outstanding staff

Moving after over 31 years very daunting, throughout the process the one constant we could rely on is Olivia; there for us every step of the way. To get that phone call or email for updates or just to ask us how we were doing has meant so much. The most amazing part is the fact that Bedford’s were not our Estate Agents, but further up the chain, that is true dedication to seeing the whole process through. Couldn’t recommend the whole team higher, thank you all and Olivia, you are a true star. Thank you.

Excellent Professional Service

Emmerson and the team at Bedfords recently sold my Mother in laws House. The patience and care they showed us at a difficult time was brilliant. They took what could have been a very stressful time and made it so much easier for us , They also spent many hours showing people around the house and demonstrated a real affection for the property, I would certainly recommend them
