I sold my Highgate (London) property through Winkworth, with whom I had also previously rented the same property. We were nervous about selling given the difficult economic period and downturn in UK sales market. However the manager for the Winkworth's Highgate office, James Wilkinson, handled the sale to a high standard of professionalism throughout and demonstrated a spot-on understanding of the market. He suggested the ideal sale price in the current market and estimated the time needed to complete. Both proved accurate: a buyer was found within less than a month and the property sold at asking price. James' proactive follow-up with the buyer and management of the exit of the tenants was very helpful in steering the sale to conclusion on time without hiccups. He responded to emails promptly and was available to speak whenever needed. Overall, an agent with integrity and knowledgeable experience of the market. Highly recommended.

I have had a relationship with the team at Winkworth Highgate for over 10 years now. This has included 2 sales as well as a period of managed letting. I have found them to be dedicated, courteous, personable and easy to reach. But more so, on several occasions I have experienced them going the extra mile, which is immensely supportive when one is dealing with properties whilst living so far away. Recent economic and market conditions have ratcheted up the pressure in the housing sector, putting a lot of strain on both buyers and sellers. I was grateful to have such a dedicated team in our corner during such a time.

We had a pleasure to work with James as tenants and later as buyers. We can not be thankful enough to James for being always there for us and going above and beyond to solve any questions arising along the way. We were receiving very professional and prompt advice, coordination with other stakeholders was extremely efficient and on the highest level. It is not everyday you sell a property but when you do your hope is that the agent really listens to your needs and objectives. I felt very much that James and Daryl did that superbly.
Both work interchangeably and the internal communication alone is exemplary as no matter who I was dealing with they were very much on top of latest developments.
I found them to be in really professional and responsive and although the first sale disappointingly fell through they were very much on the case with creative solutions to get a sale as quickly as possible. They communicate very effectively right to the end so you are always very well informed Winkworth come highly recommended and if I wasn’t relocating I would certainly have used them to find a new home. Thank you.

James and Daryl were supportive, diligent, reliable informative and good humoured throughout. They never failed to respond to our emails or calls. We were always welcome at the Highgate office.
They worked very hard to achieve the successful outcome.

We are extremely happy with the service we received from Winkworths when dealing with the sale of my late mother-in-law’s property. From the moment we met James Wilkinson when he came to do the probate valuation we knew we that we wanted Winkworths to handle the sale. It was an extremely difficult time for us and as well as his appreciation of the apartment he was also calm and respectful of our loss which meant a lot to us. We were also very impressed with his 30+ years knowledge of the Highgate property market.
Daryl Ditchburn was a joy to work with and his and James’s skills matching the right clients to the property plus his enthusiasm, expertise and good humour resulted in multiple offers within days of going on the market. The photographs were also excellent and showed the apartment beautifully.
It turned out not to be a straightforward sale due to the complexities of probate and there were various challenges along the way to say the least! Daryl took them all in his stride and gave great advice, kept calm and good natured at all times and we felt very supported throughout. He also managed to make what was a hugely stressful process quite enjoyable!
We are thoroughly delighted with the outcome and can highly recommend Winkworths – we will definitely use them again in the future.
