Excellent!! Would definitely visit again

An amazing hotel!! Excellent food, service and generally all round a beautiful place to stay. The room was perfect, all staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend to friends/family and visit again :)

Lovely Hotel with sea views

Booked twice at the Royal now, Great hotel very clean rooms and nice shower room, although shower could do with a bit more power. lovely sea views from the rooms, and the hotel has a nice bar and eating area, even the games room is well equipped. Plenty of parking although it can be a little tight.

great break

fab weekend didn't want to leave any feedback incase there is no room for me next time we go down. Location one of the nicest, best views, just loved it.

'Thoroughly recommend

My partner Ilona and myself where looking for a relaxing stay in Torquay for a few days and we found the Royal on the internet and when we arrived we had a very warm welcome from the staff.and were taken to our room which was excellent the Royal is a first class hotel with lovely staff and all in all very memorable and great value for money and we would certainly look forward to staying at the Royal again in the not too distant future.

So Comfortable and Friendly!

A wonderful surprise to find this Hotel is clean and welcoming. We were in a room tagged as not particularly quiet due to the air con unit outside, but found this wasn't a problem at all.

Very clean and comfortable and excellent facilities. Shame we couldn't stay longer!

Fantastic view

I booked this for a friend and she was delighted. The bed was comfortable, the view from the window which could be enjoyed sitting in bed was stunning and breakfast, served in the conservatory was very good. Much to my relief it was also very quiet in late September as I had been concerned about the bar and carvery. I had thought that breakfast was included in the price and was disappointed to find that it wasn't but nervertheless I would definitely book it again.

Breath taking views

We have holidayed here every year since it reopened, rooms always very clean, friendly staff, real ales good food, breath taking views from rooms just heaven in Devon. I will be booking shortly for next years holiday, thank you The Royal and all it’s staff. and see you next year.

To be recommended

Excellent spacious room. Very clean but would have been nice to have more water in the shower and also heating was on a timer and didnt kick in till 7.15pm on what was was quite a cold night for October.

Lovely time

We stayed for 4 days in July. Friendly staff. Fantastic food (what a breakfast!) Very comfortable spacious room with lovely view over the bay. Ideal base for sightseeing. Highly recommended.
