Wonderfully Professional and effective

My wife and her brother used Shepherds in order to sell their late mother's house. The service provided and attention to details was brilliant. Dave from Shepherds ensured we were at all times updated with all appropriate information, and reacted promptly to any requests that we had. We feel no issue in recommending them and will use them in future when required.

5 stars all round

I recently completed the purchase of my new property in Hertford, with the help of Shepherds Hertford, and I could not be more satisfied with the experience. The process was finalised on 27 October 2025, and everything went through smoothly from start to finish.

Shepherds Hertford were professional, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire journey. They kept me well informed at each stage, ensuring that all paperwork, communications, and negotiations were handled efficiently and without stress. Their local knowledge and attention to detail really made a difference in completing this purchase successfully and in a timely manner.

Overall, I would rate the entire experience 5 star. I highly recommend Shepherds Hertford to anyone looking to buy a property in the area, as they made what could have been a stressful process truly seamless.

Made a long sale as pain free as possible!

David and Michael were great agents throughout what turned out to be a lengthy and issue-filled purchase process — none of which was Shepherds’ fault. They remained professional, patient, and proactive the entire way, keeping us updated and doing everything possible to move things along. Their great communication made a stressful experience much easier to manage.

Thoroughly recommend

As first time buyers our experience with estate agents has been for rentals and we expected a similar treatment but were pleasantly surprised. From the first viewing, we were made to feel excited about the purchase and were provided with answers to any queries swiftly. David was proactive and communicative throughout the whole purchase, helping us to chase solicitors and liaise with the sellers. Shepherds were very attentive and really stood out as great estate agents - we will definitely think of them first when the time to sell comes in the future. Highly recommend, couldn't have asked for better service.

Successful flat purchase

The service we received from Shepherds (lead by David) whilst we purchased a flat for our mother was very professional and well informed. One minor communication mishap was speedily dealt with and when our vendors almost pulled out of the deal we valued David's input in 'smoothing the waters' and helping the process towards completion.

A Great team to keep things moving

A Great Team with David as our main contact. Always there to assist and provide what is needed to keep the process moving forward.
We were very pleased with the way the Team pulled together and were by our side through the steps to get a speedy completion

Having used Shepherds in the past it was a natural choice to use them when it came to selling again. Michael especially was brilliant from the start through to completion despite a hiccup along the way. The rest of the team were all friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Highly recommend
