Great staff, friendly service

We would definitely recommend Shepherds after a really positive experience with them selling our home. Sam was so helpful and a great communicator at each stage of the process. All of our interactions with the staff at Shepherds were really positive and Sam really went the extra mile in the closing stages of the process, keeping on top of chasing solicitors and estate agents to get the sale over the line. Thanks to all of you!

Efficient from start to finish

Buying our first home through Shepherds has been effortless. The team have been accommodating and helpful from start to finish. Special thanks to David for his upfront dialog with us from day one and Sam for his continual help pushing to move the process along to the finish line.

Will certainly engage again with Shepherds when we embark on our next move!

Great team

Very friendly and helpful team

Have used Shepherds several times and would highly recommended. Some issue with ground rent charges on my leasehold sale added some complications and delays to the sale process but Sam was very helpful in keeping the buyers on board and informed with progress and helped to ensure a suitable way forward for all ultimately leading to a successful completion.

Great Agents

We were in contact with Shepherd's for about 6 months while trying to purchase a house that they were handling. Unfortunately we were let down by our purchasers so were unable to complete. At all times, however, David, Paula, Sam and Peter were friendly, courteous, totally professional and very helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending them and we hope to be able to deal with them in the future.

So supportive

Shepherds gave me good advice on making my property more 'sellable' and the property was sold quickly. Due to complications the sale was a long, frustrating process and it eventually took almost 8 months to complete. Shepherds kept in contact with me all the way through, updating me every week without fail. It was comforting to have someone reliable and professional!

Extraordinary!

In the second week of October, I warned the estate agent who was selling my house that the conveyancing on the house I was buying in Hertford seemed to be nearly ready for exchange of contracts. He didn't believe me, as he knew that my offer had only been accepted on 14 September. He also told me not to believe everything that estate agents said! However, Shepherds of Hertford, and their recommended legal team worked brilliantly, and the sale was completed on 27 October. Peter Bluffield had emailed ' We will get you moved to Hertford as swiftly as we can'. Extraordinary, in the current climate. Throughout, communication was clear and extremely good natured. Moving day itself was long and stressful but Shepherds' staff were reassuring and encouraging. Completion date was not the end of the help - I have really appreciated advice and suggestions for reliable local contractors. Yes, I would recommend Shepherds with enthusiasm.

I really appreciated the way the staff at Shepherd's supported the process of buying a house in Hertford. Everyone who dealt with my enquiries was helpful and seemed familiar with the progress at any time. It was clear that their negotiator was able to facilitate the sale itself, and any enquiries afterwards. I would certainly recommend them!
