Location Welcome Hotel Facilities Staff Value for Money

Super week in a lovely hotel
We were many miles away from home, but Vicki and her staff gave two soon to be grandparents a lovely, warm welcome in November 2013. We could come and go as we pleased during a very happy, exciting time for us and this was appreciated. The hotel was just right. Lovely, comfortable room with all the amenities, and at a reasonable price. The hotel was clean and tastefully furnished and decorated. We would certainly go there again.

The staff were friendly on arrival. The room was cosy and warm with everything we needed. Quiet in an ideal location by the sea and short walk to the town centre. Loved it! And free parking!

I know you appreciated the car park, most guests overlook this, but parking is not good in Bournemouth, so accommodation with parking is a must and as you pointed out it is free! a lot of establishments do charge extra.

Value for money
Very friendly and helpful host, car parking a bonus, very clean and quiet, placed ideally for facilities. Good value for price, good breakfast across the road for price and a friendly service

Friendly and welcoming staff
I loved this hotel. It's situated close to the beach and the triangle. I felt really welcomed and the room was fine. It's quite stylish and quirky in an old fashioned sense which makes it charming and unpretentious. There's a beautiful reception area and a large sitting room. The owner, Vicky is kind and down to earth and it was because of her that I really enjoyed myself.

We try to keep a balance, where we are available for guests who need advice, or even just a cup of tea and a chat. Whilst giving guests their privacy and space to do their own thing.

Lovely place, came with other 5 gilrfriends for a weekend away; rooms are beautiful very shabby chic, service amazing and very friendly, beds are very comfy - will definitely be back again! thank you :) x

Our guests come from all walks of life and young and old alike, the vast majority all feel comfortable and welcome, which shows we must be doing something right! All of our beds checked and upgraded on a regular basis (average life of a mattress is six months to ensure guests comfort). So it is gratifying to see that you have noticed these things.

great hotel
a really cool hotel with a warm and friendly vintage feel to it. the vintage furniture and cool music playing in the lounge makes it a really nice relaxing place to stay. we often found ourselves sitting in the lounge chilling out after a hard days walking. the room was perfect with everything we needed and was very clean. the staff are friendly and really helpfull. the hotel is minutes from the beach and town centre. we really enjoyed our stay.

Great to hear from you, thanks for taking the time to write a review. Pleased you like the vintage feel of the place (me included LOL), being a Victorian building, I don't feel that it would be right to try and make it too modern. I have tried to preserve the Victorian feel in the lounge etc, whilst keeping the place comfortable for our guests. The overall opinion is the same as yourselves. Even our residential ghost doesn't seem to have any complaints and she has been in residence for the past 90 years!

a wonderful place
a very pleasant and welcoming place if coming to Bournemouth again will stay hear again . staff very friendly and room was lovely . lovely distance from the beach and amnesties . :-)

Lovely weekend away !
Very lovely stay ! welcomed by vicki in the car park who had a space reserved then warmly welcomed me and my other half to the hotel. very knowledgeable of the area and where to go. the front of the hotel had beautiful home grown flowers and nice back ground music in the lobby. I would recommend the Newbury to anyone.
